Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Technician for afternoon shifts to join our professional team. This role involves performing comprehensive cleaning and sanitation tasks within industrial and commercial environments, ensuring facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, experience with cleaning equipment, and a commitment to safety protocols.
Duties
- Perform detailed cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely, adhering to all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces.
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment, ensuring proper use and routine upkeep for optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling practices to prevent injuries.
- Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention.
- Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the safe handling of chemical agents.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and other custodial equipment effectively.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks in compliance with safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to safety protocols and adherence to safety procedures at all times.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients and team members.
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
