Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Pawn Broker and Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing pawn transactions, and driving sales through effective merchandising and upselling techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and the ability to handle cash handling and POS systems efficiently. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse clientele. Hourly wage D.O.E + Commissions.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with pawn transactions, including appraisals, loans, and item redemption
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about merchandise and promote sales
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales, returns, and cash handling
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience and increase store revenue
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage inventory levels through stocking and merchandising efforts
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone
- Perform basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
Requirements
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in a pawn shop or jewelry store environment
- MUST BE 21 we sell Firearms.
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and product demos
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory purposes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
