The Project Director provides strategic leadership and overall management of organizational programs and initiatives. This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with the organization's mission, goals, and funding requirements. The Project Director supervises staff, manages partnerships, monitors program performance, ensures compliance with grant and regulatory requirements, and serves as the primary liaison with stakeholders, funders, and community partners. The role requires strong leadership, organizational, financial, and communication skills to drive successful program outcomes and sustainable community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of organizational programs and projects.
- Supervise program staff, consultants, volunteers, and contractors.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and performance goals.
- Ensure compliance with grant agreements, organizational policies, and applicable regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders.
- Monitor program outcomes using data to improve performance and measure impact.
- Prepare reports for leadership, board members, and funding agencies.
- Identify funding opportunities and support grant development and sustainability efforts.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure efficient program delivery.
- Represent the organization at meetings, community events, and public engagements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Services, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of project or program management experience, preferably in the nonprofit or public sector.
- Experience managing grants, budgets, and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering a collaborative, mission-driven work environment.
