Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Steel Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding steel components according to drawings and specifications. This role is critical to producing high-quality structural and custom steel products while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, bend, and assemble steel and metal components
- Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core as required)
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, presses, shears, milling machines, lathes, and grinders
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a steel fabricator or similar role
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and measurements
- Welding certification(s) preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working at heights when needed
- Able to work in confined or tight spaces
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with structural steel or custom fabrication
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
- Knowledge of shop math and layout work
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
