Job description:
Performs a variety of duties in maintaining, repairing, and renovating building/facility.
Assists in making decisions on all routine and minor repairs and reports major problems to the Maintenance/Warehouse Manager.
Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains, and repairs equipment, systems, and buildings by local, state and federal regulations, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
Performs a variety of semi-skilled work in various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, welding, painting, electrical work, sheet metal work, masonry, machinist work, snow removal etc.
Typical tasks performed: replace damaged racking; move equipment; assemble equipment; install signage; maintain grounds/landscaping; patch minor wall damage; paint; replace filters in air handler units; replace lamps, ballasts, cord ends, switches, and receptacles: repair drains using appropriate equipment; and install safety mirrors, etc.
Basic ability to identify system failures and troubleshooting equipment to restore to the operation or contain the problem.
Can work alone to solve problems, and as needed lead on a given job with other workers. Maintains workshops, mechanical spaces, and assigned work zones, in a clean and safe manner.
Performs a variety of building service duties including snow removal, housekeeping, and trash removal. Responds to emergency problems and makes emergency repairs as needed.
Provides the various skills required to maintain facility in a clean and safe operating condition by local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintains logs, completes preventive maintenance work orders, tests, and inspections of assigned ance system. Operates motor vehicles. Performs safety analysis before starting work, confirms LOTO, obtains hot work permits, and etc.
Performs related and other departmental duties as required.
$24/hour. Day shift.
