Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and observe clients when they are on break, and intervene on clients not following program rules and help redirect clients that leave group or sessions
- Maintain an organizational system for the office and responsible for ordering supplies and purchasing inventory
- Keep kitchen and common areas neat and tidy, and keep clients accountable for assigned chore lists
- Responsible for general office maintenance, upkeep, and organization
- Health and Safety Committee Lead: responsible for monthly facility walk throughs, fridge logs, and drill administration.
- Review and coordinate virtual sessions schedule and facilitate client attendance to virtual appointments
- Make and post group schedules each morning
- Record vitals for all PHP clients
- Help facilitate transportation for clients
- Collect phones during group times
- Conducts property searches of clients as required by program standards.
- Performs urine drug screen testing of clients as required and processes tests to be sent to lab
- Facilitate groups
- Completes admission/intake procedures on new clients including all paperwork, assignments, and initial orientation.
- Attends in-service training and educational workshops.
- Attends all required staff meetings.
- Knowledge of drug and alcohol dependency, mental health, family systems and various recovery resources in the community such as Smart Recovery/ other resources in the community.
- Ability to write clear (and concise) statements, summarizing client’s feelings, expressions, resistance and response to their treatment plan; goals and objectives. Includes letters to referral agencies, courts/probation.
- Ability to confront behavioral changes, identifies a crisis, and recognize when additional assistance is necessary.
- Ability to recognize personal recovery issues that have an impact on job performance and interactions with clients.
- Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff.
- Ability to prepare for, and facilitate specialty programs.
- Basic knowledge of referrals, both in and out of Launch
- Working knowledge of the philosophy and approach Smart Recovery and 12 step program( if client would like 12 step program).
- Ability to communicate clearly, with clients, staff, peers, supervisors and non- Center resources.
- Coordinate psychiatry-related documentation and assist clients with scheduling appointments through external psychiatric providers and partner groups
Technician Competencies and Performance Expectations
All Technicians are expected to:

- Liaison with and refer to treatment team, inside and outside agencies
- Asses and report client behavioral changes
- Identify personal boundaries and be able to work as part of the treatment team
- Adhere to professional standards
- Recognize personal biases working within diverse populations
Prerequisite Qualifications
Must have RADT or higher or be willing to obtain RADT upon offer of employment.
Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
High school diploma or equivalency. One year of experience in the mental health field or educational progress towards degree in a mental health field.
Must have valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle on Center business.
Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
