Description of Position:
The Service Advisor (ASM) is a specialized, highly trained & skilled member of the Toyota Service Center. The Service Advisor handles service clients with their specific vehicle maintenance & repair needs.
The ASM must possess outstanding communication skills, a cheerful and enthusiastic disposition, and the ability to speak articulately. In addition, the ASM must display great work ethics, project a “can do” attitude in the face of change, enjoy engaging service clients with enthusiasm and support the goals and vision of the team.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Promptly and professionally greet inbound service clients with the goal of providing an exceptional experience resulting in a credible relationship.
- Obtain accurate parts and labor prices for all customer pay and internal operations using the appropriate parts price sources and labor pricing guide.
- Provide accurate estimates for all the services or repairs recommended.
- Follow-up on status of repairs to ensure vehicle is ready when promised.
- Gain authorization from customer when repair estimates are revised.
- Inform customer of vehicle ready status and actual charges.
- Keep current with service specials, all direct mail pieces, and recall notices from the manufacturer.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience required in a commission based customer service/ sales position (Toyota experience preferred but not necessary.)
- The ability to work flexible hours.
- Proficiency in operational software techniques for DMS, Service CRM and any additional dealer specific software.
- Display the ability to professionally handle specific client questions and objections.
- Have the aptitude & desire to develop a solid understanding of product information related to Toyota vehicles and all maintenance/repair services provided by the service department.
- The ability to meet or exceed all Key Performance Indicators that are specific to the following:
- Client satisfaction scores
- Average Labor & Parts Sales Per Repair Order
- Client Return Rates
- Average Number Of Clients Handled Per Day
