Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our clients utility and siteworks division. This role involves overseeing and executing site preparation activities, including utility installation, grading, drainage, and other foundational sitework operations essential for successful project completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of civil site development processes, safety protocols, and utility systems.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring that all site utilities are installed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Heavy Equipment Operators Duties
- Coordinate the installation of underground utilities such as water, sewer, storm drainage.
- Interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of sitework activities.
- Manage excavation activities, including grading and trenching, to prepare the site for utility installation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all phases of sitework operations.
- Monitor progress and quality of work to meet project timelines and standards.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for documentation and reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in site development or utility installation within the construction industry.
- 3 years of experience operating an excavator doing trench work OR fine grading with a dozer utilizing GPS
- Familiarity with construction safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
