Job Summary
San Antonio Security (SAS) is an established and growing company that is celebrating 54 years in business. SAS has commercial offerings that include Security Alarms, Fire Alarms, Camera Systems and Access Control. SAS has Residential offers that include Home Automation, Security Alarms, Fire Alarms, and Video Camera Equipment. SAS is currently hiring drug free "Experienced Technicians" to perform electronic system installations, as well as continued servicing of our growing account base. SAS maintains an "Energetic Team Player Atmosphere" that produces the results of increased company and employee success for our entire TEAM.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Drug Free
- Valid TX Drivers License and a Clean Driving Record
- Clear Criminal Background History - A Pre-background and an FBI background check are required. There is no need to apply if you have any noted Criminal Offenses.
- Previously completed State of TX Technician Level 1 Training and License Registration
- TX FAL - A TX Dept of Insurance issued Fire Alarm Technician License is required.
- TX PSB - A TX DPS Private Security Board issued Alarm Technician License is required.
- 5+ Years of experience in the Low Voltage Electronic Field: Burglar and Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV Systems
- Be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Be willing to take direction and complete necessary documentation for all jobs or company related requirements..
- Be able to work alone to finish projects as needed.
- Be able to work with other employee's and subs to maintain a good working relationship in order to efficiently schedule needed work.
- Be able to establish a good relationship with new and existing customers and maintain good communication.
- Be proficient in hand tools as well as all other trade specific tools and equipment.
- Be organized, reliable and self-motivated.
- Experience in other low voltage fields (Security/Burglar Alarm, Audio/Visual, Phone/Data/CATV, etc.) is a plus.
Some Basic Required Responsibilities and Duties (These are always expanding)

- TX FAL Fire Alarm License
- Full installation, service, and programming of new low voltage Security, Fire, CCTV, Access Control and Home Automation jobs from planning stage to completion and customer demonstration. You will be asked for a complete listing of the systems and software you have worked with.
- Navigation of Low Voltage programming software, Online Portal Software for Cell Unit Activations, Online vendor portal programming of Home Automation Packages.
- Perform rotating schedule duties for after hour on-call service calls as needed.
- Respond to and assess emergency service or warranty calls.
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment for all construction and service jobs.
- Support other lead techs with the Installation and Maintenance for Security, Fire, CCTV, Access Control and Home Automation jobs
- Maintain a periodic rotation for In-office answering of incoming service calls, addressing special multi-chain client installation scheduling, subcontractor hiring and coordination of out of town installations/service calls.
- Maintain good relationship with contracted Multi-chain store clients, Supervisors, District Managers and Store Managers to aid in addressing any requested repair or installation needs.
- Liaison with vendors, subs and main office in scheduling and ordering material and labor in order to complete projects.
