American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Goldsboro, NC, requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and a valid NC or compact RN license.

48-bed adult Med/Surg Telemetry unit on a hospital's 6th floor
-
Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6 with approximately 3–4 admissions per day
-
Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Every other weekend (EOW) required

Every other holiday (EOH) required
-
May be placed on standby if census drops

Active NC or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required

Current NIHSS certification required

CPI-A certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required

Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred

Two professional references required for consideration

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, point-of-care testing, and patient/family education
