POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Assistant under the direction of the Payments (Claims) Supervisor will help assist with the day-to-day operations. All duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with specific contractual obligations and departmental standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide high quality customer service for all parents, providers, internal, and external support.
- Assist fiscal team with research, documentation, and spreadsheet for provider garnishment processing.
- Assist with processing, printing, mailing, and answering provider inquiries for Stage 1 and AP providers.
- Cover provider payment processing calling queue for provider check verifications and other provider payment related calls.
- Manage and/or update provider files in the internal database in regarding to monthly union dues.
- Assist fiscal staff with special projects as needed.
- Assist clients, stakeholders, as needed with customer services (in person or via phone) and deal with correspondence, complaints, inquiries, and providing solution-oriented results. Enter client information on internal database.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highschool Diploma or GED Equivalent (required)
- Experience with CalWORKs or Child Care Subsidy
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, with excellent customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and handle changing priorities/deadlines
- Possesses strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Requires considerable accuracy
- Ability to produce under tight deadlines
ENVIRONMENT:
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions (OFFICE): Activities occur inside and outside. MONDAY - FRIDAY (IN OFFICE)
Pay: $20.30 - $25.69 per hour
