Duties
- Perform a variety of marine construction tasks, including dock and pier building, pilings installation, and structural repairs.
- Maintain marine equipment, tools and supply inventory.
- Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of marine structures such as seawalls, bulkheads, and moorings.
- Conduct inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety protocols and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to plan daily tasks and troubleshoot technical issues on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety checks conducted throughout each project.
- Follow environmental guidelines to minimize impact on surrounding ecosystems during construction activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in marine construction or related trades such as carpentry, welding, or heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans with attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to marine environments and construction sites.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
- Valid certifications such as OSHA safety training or specialized trade licenses are preferred.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication.
