Responsibilities
- Operate commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines to clean linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing efficiently.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling and care.
- Perform dry cleaning processes for delicate or specialized garments as needed, following all safety and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly cleaning machines, work surfaces, and storage spaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Follow established procedures for handling guest laundry requests promptly and accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when restocking is necessary.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control in cleaning processes.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads as needed.
