Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced <PERSON> to join our team, providing exceptional culinary and food service support within our facility. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and customer service, with an emphasis on dietary needs and menu planning.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Assist with menu planning to accommodate various dietary requirements and preferences
- Handle food safely and hygienically in compliance with health regulations
- Serve meals to clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including sanitizing utensils and equipment
- Support catering events by preparing and presenting food items
- Manage food inventory, restocking supplies as needed
- Collaborate with culinary team to ensure quality standards are met during food preparation and presentation
- Demonstrate knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques for meal preparation
- Assist with food handling procedures during busy service times, including fine dining settings
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Experience in menu planning, food preparation, or culinary roles such as restaurant or catering service is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling techniques
- Strong cooking skills with an understanding of fine dining standards
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent food handling skills, including knife skills and portion control
- Experience working in the food industry, including kitchen or restaurant environments
- Familiarity with catering operations and serving in various settings is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
