Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft and related equipment in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong background in aviation maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform precision measurements and repairs using various tools and techniques. The A&P Mechanic will ensure that all aircraft systems operate reliably and safely, supporting our commitment to excellence in aviation operations.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and power systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying problems affecting aircraft performance or safety.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ammeters, ohmmeters, to ensure components meet specifications.
- Fabricate or modify parts using sheet metal work, welding, soldering, and hand tools to meet repair or assembly requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Follow safety protocols including proper handling of power tools, heavy lifting techniques, and electrical safety procedures related to avionics and aircraft systems.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) related to aircraft maintenance and repair.
- Support ongoing equipment repair projects involving welding, fabrication, calibration of precision instruments, and troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues.
Requirements
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification is required. (IA is a plus)
- 5+ years of General Aviation experience.
- Strong knowledge of aviation systems including airframes, engines, avionics, and power tools.
- Beechcraft and Cirrus experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with welding, soldering, sheet metal fabrication, preferred.
- Electrical experience including working with schematics, multimeters (ammeters), ohmmeters, and circuit troubleshooting is desirable.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) related to aircraft maintenance is essential.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail.
