Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and guiding them through product options.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly.
- Assist with product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities.
- Maintain store merchandising standards by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are visually appealing.
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to all cash security procedures.
- Support inventory management through stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and organizing back-stock areas.
- Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone.
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, enhancing their shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth store operations and meet sales goals.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers and team members.
- Assist in general retail environments by applying retail math for pricing and sales calculations.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, pricing, and inventory counts are necessary.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette will help you excel in this role.
- Previous experience working in a retail is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising. We’re dedicated to supporting your growth through ongoing training.
