Sirius Orthodontics is looking for a dynamic individual who will be the first impression of our highly skilled practice by welcoming new patients via the initial phone call or via e-mail. The New Patient Coordinator's responsibility will primarily be to answer new patient phone calls from patients and from referring offices in a warm and welcoming manner. Gathering accurate demographic information, insurance information and having a clear understanding of the patient's needs are key. The New Patient Coordinator will make sure the treatment coordinator has what is needed to be fully prepared for the new patient exam.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls from new patients promptly and professionally and scheduling initial consults
- Effectively handle multiple calls and e-mails
- Collect detailed patient information including demographics, medical history, insurance details, and referral source.
- Submit insurance information into our insurance portal for benefit verification
- Clearly explain the new patient exam process so patients are fully prepared at the time of the exam
- Send appointment reminders and confirmation emails.
- Reschedule appointments as needed, ensuring efficient utilization of the schedule.
- Convey the value of our practice and the benefits of orthodontic care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and data within the practice management software.
- Update patient information as needed.
Qualifications:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong ability to listen actively, communicate clearly, and build rapport with patients over the phone.
- Customer Service Focus: Passion for providing exceptional customer service experiences.
- Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
- Dental Knowledge: Basic understanding of orthodontic terminology and treatment procedures is beneficial but not necessary
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service role
- Experience in dental or orthodontic setting is ideal
Pay Rate: Dependent on experience

Base Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
