Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks to enhance their experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring all special requests are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, or specialty dishes to increase sales and elevate guest satisfaction
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently, handling cash handling duties with accuracy and professionalism
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in service areas to support smooth restaurant operations
- Foster positive guest relations by responding promptly to inquiries or concerns, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return
Skills
- Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; familiarity with processing sales transactions accurately
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor; adept at upselling and enhancing guest experiences through personalized recommendations
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately along with basic math skills for bill calculations and change handling
- Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is a plus; familiarity with OpenTable reservations system is advantageous
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, alcohol regulations, and hospitality best practices to ensure compliance and safety
