Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Field Operations & Event Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of events and operational activities. This role is vital in ensuring seamless event delivery, exceptional guest experiences, and efficient management of field operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality and event management. The Field Operations & Event Manager executes Built to Work’s live event platform across the Southeast U.S., including trailer transportation and setup, event logistics, contractor staffing coordination, and audience engagement.
The role combines operational execution with public-facing brand representation to ensure Built to Work delivers professional, high-energy, and well-organized events.
Core Responsibilities
1. Event Operations & Trailer Management (Weekend Travel Required)
- Drive and transport the Built to Work truck and trailer to events (Class A CDL required)
- Lead trailer setup, teardown, and operational readiness
- Maintain core systems: generator, simulators, kiosks, and event technology
- Troubleshoot operational or technical issues during events
- Ensure trailer cleanliness, organization, and presentation quality
2. Event Execution & Staff Leadership
- Lead day-to-day event execution on-site
- Manage contractor hosts and event staff
- Train staff on event flow, attendee engagement, and operational expectations
- Ensure events run professionally and efficiently
- Coordinate staffing schedules and event logistics
3. Brand Representation & Audience Engagement
- Serve as a visible, high-energy representative of Built to Work
- Engage attendees and drive traffic to the trailer
- Support sponsor activations and public-facing event activities
- Help create a positive and engaging event experience
4. Event Planning & Office Operations
- Support planning of future events based on geography and strategic priorities
- Coordinate with event organizers and venue operators
- Maintain staffing pipeline for upcoming events
- Assist with scheduling, supplies, travel coordination, and event preparation
- Be present in the office during non-travel days and maintain a professional office presence
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience operating a Class A vehicle
- Proven experience in event planning and management
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with familiarity with event management software and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, vendors, team members, and stakeholders at all levels.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
