Job Summary
Ro Health is hiring Intervention Specialists to support students near Columbus through classroom-based and 1:1 services. This school-based position is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through the 2026–2027 school year.
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Intervention Specialists who are passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs. This role offers a flexible schedule with options for full-time (30–40 hours per week) or part-time hours.
Compensation: $50–$60 per hour, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborate with school teams and families, and utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to promote student success both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students with disabilities and diverse learning needs.
- Provide direct instruction in literacy, math, and other core academic areas using evidence-based strategies.
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to ensure cohesive student support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior data, and IEP compliance requirements.
- Utilize classroom management and behavior intervention strategies to foster a positive and structured learning environment.
- Support social-emotional development through targeted skill-building and behavioral supports.
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License (mild/moderate or moderate/intensive).
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience working with students with disabilities in school-based settings.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance procedures.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technology tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong classroom management and behavior intervention experience.
- Ability to adapt instruction across grade levels and developmental stages.
