Second Shift Powder Coat Painter needed for fast paced steel fabrication shop
Second Shift Hours 3:30pm-1:00am plus $2.50 differential
Job Duties
- Prepare parts for coating
- Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application
- Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and collection systems
- Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
- Knowledge of all powder coating applications including appropriate temperatures, viscosity, material handling, and waste disposal
- Ensure that all components are coated efficiently and are consistent with company standards and within time limits allowed
- Cleans work areas, machines, or equipment, to maintain a clean and safe job site
- Follows established safety rules and regulations and identify and correct potentially hazardous conditions
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Works as a team player
- Work weekends if required by the work load
Qualifications
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Must be able to pass a powder coating test
- Strong background in powder coating and industrial painting
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor
- Ability to follow instructions with no supervision
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Able to work as an effective member of a team and promote a positive working environment
- Energetic and motivated to get a job completed accurately and efficiently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
