Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, medication management, and specialized treatments like botulinum toxin therapy and dermal fillers.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, catheterization procedures, and basic imaging techniques including sonography and mammography.
- Provide acute pain management, wound suturing, ostomy care, ventilator management, and infection control practices following aseptic techniques.
- Assist in complex procedures including cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, gastric lavage, and neonatal ventilator support within Level I or Level II trauma centers or specialized units like PICU or NICU.
- Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies for patients with chronic conditions such as dementia or developmental disabilities.
- Engage in health coaching and patient education to promote wellness initiatives across primary care, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health settings.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining meticulous medical documentation and accurate ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10).
- Support infection control protocols during sterile processing procedures and laboratory testing to uphold safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current registration; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
- Proven experience in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, emergency room settings, ICU/CCU/Trauma centers (Level I or II), outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations accurately.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as memory care or behavioral health populations is a plus.
- Ability to perform sterile procedures including suturing, IV insertion/infusion, tube feeding management, and specimen collection with precision.

Pay: $332.88 - $400.89 per day
