Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Composites Technician to join our creative manufacturing team. A Composites Technician is responsible for producing high-quality composite parts, molds, and tooling using a variety of materials, processes, and equipment. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Position Responsibilities
· Produce composite elements using hand layup methods and machine/chopper gun spray techniques
· Manufacture FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) and silicone molds from foam sculpts
· Cut, trim, and process composite tooling and finished parts
· Properly prepare parts for spray coatings and final assembly
· Use HVLP spray systems to apply mold releases, primers, and other coatings
· Apply polyurethane hard-coat systems to foam sculpts
· Develop and maintain a working knowledge of commonly used composite materials
· Properly care for and maintain materials, tools, and equipment to maximize usable lifespan
· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
General Responsibilities
· Achieve and maintain working knowledge of Company operational software
· Accurately complete and track production elements using company quality control (QC) documentation
· Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for all assigned tasks
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Consistently meet the Company’s expected quality standards
· Effectively multitask and prioritize objectives to meet production deadlines
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
