Job Overview
We are seeking a caring, faith-filled, and enthusiastic individual who has a heart for young children and a calling to help them nurture their faith in Christ. As a lead teacher in our play-based preschool, you will create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, promote positive behavior, and support the spiritual, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children.
Duties
- Develop and execute creative, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, exploration, and active learning for preschool-aged children.
- Lead daily Bible story lessons that foster students to grow in the Christian faith.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to create a safe, respectful, and orderly classroom environment.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student progress and incident reports.
- Support early intervention initiatives by identifying developmental delays and working with specialists when necessary.
- Manage classroom logistics such as setting up learning centers, maintaining cleanliness, and organizing educational materials to foster an optimal learning space.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and lesson planning expertise.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Formal training or certification in early childhood education or related fields
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare standards at all times.
- Demonstrated classroom experience in Christian schools or daycare environments is preferred.
