Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely.
- Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
- Support bussing duties by, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies while adhering to proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by cleaning workstations, sinks, floors, and storage areas regularly.
- Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to create a safe environment for staff and guests alike.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and basic food prep tools safely.
