Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities that promote child development and learning.
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a structured, positive environment that encourages social-emotional growth.
- Engage with children through play, conversation, and age-appropriate activities to foster curiosity and developmental milestones.
- Help with classroom setup, organization of materials, and maintaining cleanliness to create an inviting learning space.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to build strong partnerships.
- Support special needs children by applying inclusive teaching strategies and adhering to individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure safety standards are met.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or similar health and safety training is a plus.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities enhances your effectiveness.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining patience and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
