Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Lawn & Landscape Technician to join our team. This is a hands‑on position responsible for maintaining and caring for lawns, landscape beds, and outdoor spaces. Technicians support whichever department needs coverage that day, including landscape enhancement work, lawn care services, and general property maintenance.
This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a willingness to make each property legendary.
Team members will also be cross‑trained in lawn care application services and may assist with fertilization, weed control, aeration, overseeding, and other lawn care tasks as needed.
Licensing Requirement
Employees performing lawn care application services must obtain and maintain the required state applicator licenses in Categories A, E, and L. The company provides training and support to help employees prepare for these examinations. Employees are expected to successfully obtain the required licenses within approximately two weeks of beginning training, subject to exam availability and scheduling. Successful completion of the required licensing exams is a condition of performing spray technician duties.
Experience in landscaping, lawn care, or related outdoor work is preferred but not required. Job Type: Full-Time Temporary (Seasonal)
Pay Range: $19–$22 per hour
Responsibilities
· Maintain and care for lawns, landscape beds, and outdoor spaces
· Assist with landscape enhancement projects including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and other materials
· Install mulch, rock, edging, and other landscape features
· Perform landscape bed maintenance, pruning, trimming, and seasonal cleanups
· Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment safely and efficiently
· Assist with lawn care services including fertilization, weed control, aeration, overseeding, and hydroseeding
· Learn to identify lawn, tree, and landscape issues and communicate recommendations with customers
· Communicate professionally and courteously with customers when on-site
· Accurately document completed services using company software and mobile applications
· Maintain clean, organized job sites and properly care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment
· Follow all company safety procedures and policies
· Work effectively with team members to complete projects efficiently and to company standards
Qualifications
· Previous landscaping, lawn care, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required
· Strong work ethic and positive attitude
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
· Mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience are a plus
· Ability to learn new skills and obtain required pesticide and fertilizer applicator licenses
· Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
