Loudspeaker Assembler
Position Summary
The Loudspeaker Assembler is responsible for assembling high-quality loudspeaker products and components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position follows a structured training path beginning in the Sub-Assembly area, where employees learn core production processes such as grille assembly, coax assembly, and order kitting. Upon successful completion of training and demonstrated performance, employees may transition into the Final Assembly line supporting full loudspeaker builds and system assembly.
This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and interested in developing manufacturing and assembly skills within a team-oriented environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble loudspeakers, cabinets, and related components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates.
- Read and follow assembly instructions, work orders, drawings, and parts lists.
- Inspect components and completed assemblies to ensure proper fit, finish, and quality standards are met.
- Measure and verify specifications using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques.
- Report material shortages, equipment concerns, or assembly issues to supervisors or team leads.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in clean and safe working condition.
- Support inventory organization and material staging as needed.
- Work collaboratively with production team members to meet daily production and quality goals.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and manufacturing guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to support efficiency and product quality.
- Assist in other manufacturing or assembly duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, or electronics assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, drawings, and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to learn new processes and work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Reliable attendance and positive work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for assembly work and material handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and tools.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and production environment.
- Exposure to tools, equipment, wood dust, adhesives, and moderate noise levels.
- PPE required in designated work areas.
