Learn a Skilled Trade While Building Custom Fireplaces
Fireplace Center Bozeman is looking for a dependable, hardworking Seasonal Mason-Lite Installation Helper to assist our lead installer with the construction of custom Mason-Lite fireplaces in residential homes, and commercial job sites throughout Gallatin Valley.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the construction trades, masonry, carpentry, or fireplace installation. Previous fireplace experience is recommended—we’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely on active construction sites.
Working alongside experienced installers, you’ll gain hands-on experience building custom fireplace systems while learning the skills needed to succeed in the fireplace and construction industry.
What You’ll Do
As a Mason-Lite Installation Helper, you’ll assist the lead installer with every phase of a Mason-Lite fireplace installation, including:
· Loading, unloading, and staging fireplace materials at jobsites
· Assisting with the assembly of Mason-Lite refractory fireplace systems
· Carrying and positioning refractory panels, chimney components, hearth materials, and accessories
· Mixing mortar and preparing materials for installation
· Assisting with chimney system installation
· Cleaning and organizing jobsites throughout the day
· Operating hand and power tools under supervision
· Helping verify measurements, layouts, and fireplace locations
· Assisting with framing preparation and construction tasks as needed
· Maintaining company tools, trailers, and installation equipment
· Loading materials at the warehouse for upcoming installations
· Following all company safety procedures and manufacturer installation guidelines
What We’re Looking For
· Strong work ethic and positive attitude
· Dependable and punctual
· Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
· Interest in construction, masonry, carpentry, or the skilled trades
· Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
· Able to lift and carry 50–100+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day
· Comfortable working on ladders and around active construction sites
· Clean valid driver’s license a MUST
· Construction or masonry experience is helpful but not required
Physical Requirements
· Frequent lifting of heavy construction materials
· Standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and overhead work
· Working on ladders and scaffolding
· Exposure to dust, weather, and active construction environments
· Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
Compensation & Benefits
· $22–$28 per hour, depending on experience
· Paid on-the-job training
