We are seeking a knowledgeable Cannabis Budtender to join our team. As a Budtender, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting clients in selecting the right products for their needs. Your expertise in cannabis products and your ability to communicate effectively will enhance the customer experience and contribute to our welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product selection based on their preferences and needs.
- Educate customers about various cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods.
- Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems for processing transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized display area, ensuring all products are properly labeled and stocked.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products that may benefit customers.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy in cash handling procedures.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support during shifts.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless operations throughout the store.
- Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and compliance regulations.
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of cannabis strains (Indica, Sativa, Hybrid), cannabinoids (THC, CBD), terpenes, and other related products (concentrates, edibles, topicals).
- Ability to explain the effects and benefits of different products to customers.
- Knowledge of product quality, sourcing, and the cultivation process is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, hospitality) is often required.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor to ensure positive customer interactions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and POS systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for cannabis products and a desire to educate others about their benefits.
- Supervisory experience is a plus but not required.
