We are seeking an Illinois-licensed general dentist to serve as Lead Dentist and owner of a new dental practice in Schaumburg, serving the northwest Chicago suburbs.
The practice combines a general dentistry program with a full-arch dental implant center performing All-on-4 and related protocols. You will practice across both- general restorative and preventive care alongside the prosthetic side of full-arch reconstruction, working with an oral surgeon who performs the implant placement.
You will own the Illinois professional service corporation that operates the practice and will hold clinical authority over patient care. Everything outside the operatory- marketing, patient acquisition, scheduling, staffing support, HR, billing, procurement, facilities, IT, and lab logistics- is handled by an experienced management team under a management services agreement, so your time goes to dentistry rather than to running a business.
The Clinical Model
This is a systems-driven practice, and that is the reason it works.
We operate a standardized clinical protocol set refined across multiple existing full-arch centers- case selection, treatment sequencing, conversion technique, prosthetic design, materials, and follow-up. Every doctor who joins completes a structured training program in these protocols before treating cases, and continues with ongoing calibration and clinical review alongside the group's other doctors.
If you want to spend your first year experimenting with technique and vendors, this is not the right practice. If you want a proven system, a team trained to run it, and predictable outcomes at volume, this is exactly it. The doctors who thrive here are the ones who value consistency and want to get very good at a defined set of procedures rather than reinvent them.
What You Will Do
- Provide general dentistry — diagnostic, preventive, and restorative care — to the practice's patient base
- Perform the restorative side of full-arch cases: treatment planning, conversion, final prosthesis delivery, occlusal management, and long-term follow-up
- Partner with the surgical provider on case selection and sequencing
- Complete and maintain certification in the group's clinical protocols
- Serve as clinical leader for the site, with final authority over patient treatment decisions
- Serve as shareholder, director, and president of the practice corporation, and maintain its licensure and regulatory standing with IDFPR
What We Are Looking For
Required
- DDS or DMD from an accredited institution
- Active Illinois dental license in good standing, or license-eligible with the ability to be licensed prior to opening
- No history of board discipline or license restriction
- Comfortable and current across a general dentistry scope
- Willingness to serve as owner of record of the practice corporation
- Willingness to train in and practice within an established protocol system
Preferred
- Implant prosthetics, removable or fixed prosthodontic experience
- Direct full-arch / All-on-4 restorative exposure
- Experience in a group, DSO-supported, or high-volume practice environment
- Familiarity with digital workflows — intraoral scanning, photogrammetry, CAD/CAM, chairside conversion
- Existing ties to the Chicago market
Why Dentists Take This Role
- Practice ownership without the burden. You own the corporation. You do not carry the payroll runs, the vendor contracts, the collections calls, or the 9pm spreadsheet.
- A team that is built for you. Recruiting, onboarding, and training are handled by the management team. You walk into a staffed, trained practice rather than assembling one.
- A system, not a blank page. Protocols, workflows, lab relationships, and patient acquisition are already built and running across multiple centers. You are not guessing.
- Real training. Full-arch is the fastest-growing segment in dentistry and most GPs never get structured access to it. You will be trained in it properly, by people doing it every day.
- Volume and consistency. Patients arrive through an established acquisition engine. You focus on dentistry.
- Life-changing outcomes. Full-arch patients come in after years of pain, failed dentistry, and social withdrawal. The results are immediate and dramatic, and you will see them every week.
