We are seeking a passionate assistant teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in childhood development or desire to learn. Must be a self-starter and willing to seek answers and solutions.
- Candidate must have completed an Associate's Degree or have 60 credits in college with 30 credits in early childhood education. Must produce transcripts.
- Must have or be willing to get a medical clearance/physical.

Duties
- Educate and supervise young children in a daycare setting
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate the children's learning and development--must complete weekly lesson planning, must submit plans
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children in your care
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning
Must be coachable! Must have consistent attendance and provide 3 work references.
Skills
- Experience working with children, at least one year.
- Experience in the classroom
- Knowledge of childhood development principles
- Background in early childhood education or related field
- First aid certification is a must--have it or be willing to achieve it
-Must know DCFS Rule 407
- Familiarity with special education practices would be beneficial
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.65 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
