Weekly Gross Pay: $2,000/week
Schedule: Varies | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Travel: Travel candidates only — must live 50+ miles from the facility

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel contract opportunity in Atlanta, GA, with the possibility of extension.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience, including recent hospital-based RRT experience and experience working with NICU and pediatric patient populations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
- Recent hospital-based Respiratory Therapist experience required
- NICU experience required
- Pediatric experience required
- Active Georgia State RCP license
- Current NBRC RRT certification
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program with an Associate’s degree
- Must be willing to work required holidays
- Must meet the facility's 50+ mile travel requirement
Primary Responsibilities
- Assess patients' respiratory status using clinical information, vital signs, chest X-rays, and ABG results.
- Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators and provide critical-care respiratory support.
- Perform airway management and tracheal suctioning.
- Perform arterial punctures and obtain arterial blood samples from arterial lines.
- Obtain and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Provide non-invasive oxygen and carbon dioxide monitoring.
- Participate in high-risk deliveries as part of the Neonatal Resuscitation Team when required.
- Assess the respiratory status of newborns upon delivery.
- Perform surfactant replacement therapy in the NICU when indicated.
- Perform endotracheal intubation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required.
- Assist physicians with bronchoscopies, EBUS, navigation procedures, or CRYO procedures after completing required competencies.
- Perform pulmonary function testing and cardiopulmonary exercise testing after required training.
- Perform EKGs, rhythm strips, and 24-hour Holter monitoring.
- Maintain proper safety practices and promptly report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or injuries.
- Perform charge and preceptor duties when assigned.
- In the CPAP department, educate patients on CPAP equipment and proper use.
- Follow up with patients during their first month of CPAP use and monitor compliance.
- Assist patients with CPAP equipment resupply.
- Provide appropriate respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
Holiday Requirement
Candidate must work 2 major holidays out of the following 3:
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
And 1 minor holiday:
- Friday after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- New Year's Eve
Pay: $1,950.00 - $2,000.00 per week
