Northeast Regional Sales Manager
Territory covered: Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC, Rhode Island, Eastern Canada (Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia). *Experience in the recycling, metal, and/or waste industries required.
Nature of Work Under supervision of the Director of Sales – Eastern U.S. and Canada this position is responsible for selling the complete Sierra line of equipment that includes Shear/Baler/Loggers, Portable Baler/Loggers Two-Ram Balers, Conveyors, and
Material Handlers. This position is responsible for prospecting target accounts for new business and maintaining an existing territory of business in the recycling and waste industries.
Sales Representative Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for New Business Development via prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing.
- Requires consultative-selling skills.
- Manage client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle.
- Educate customers on products, service, warranties, and technical support.
- Conducts one-on-one and group sales presentations.
- Provide account management to an existing territory.
- Receive feedback on existing products and services, as well as changes, enhancements, and new products.
- Responsible for tracking new and existing customer information, forecasts, and reports.
- Provides monthly sales report to General Sales Manager.
- Develop and maintain prospect and customer list based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads and customer database management.
- Provide prospect and lead data to Marketing.
Sales Representative Requirements:
- Attend the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) convention and any other conventions as directed by General Sales Manager.
- Attend events and conventions within the territory as needed.
- Submit a monthly report to log activity, tasks, and deals related to contact/company that is being prospected.
- Significant travel throughout and beyond the territory.
Knowledge and Skills
- Must be a self –starter. Must be able to demonstrate sales record (5 + years) at a high level of achievement.
- Must be able to use Customer Relationship Management software and Microsoft Office.
Minimum Qualifications
- Recycling and/or Waste industry experience required.
Machinery and/or engineering experience a plus. Requires up to 75% of work time traveling, you could be gone 2-3 weeks at a time. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Company’s auto insurance.
Must be able to travel such as driving and flying up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities
Must be able to travel 75% of the time, have valid driver's licenses, and be auto insurance insurable. Must be able to drive and fly to customers sites and conventions. Must be able to see customers in person face to face and call them also emailing quotes.
Qualifications
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must have Sales or Leasing experience with Recycling Equipment, Heavy Equipment, Roll Off Bins, or done some type of work with Recycling or Waste Management. Must be able to travel 75% of the time, have valid driver's licenses, and be auto insurance insurable. Must be able to drive and fly to customers’ sites and conventions.
