About the Role
Sthenos Technologies is hiring compassionate, reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support residents at the Selinsgrove State Centre, a Pennsylvania state facility serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a CNA, you will provide hands-on daily care that directly improves residents' comfort, safety, and quality of life.
Schedule
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holidays
- No requested time off (RTO) during the first 4 weeks of orientation
- Strict no cell phone policy while on the floor
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Support safe transfers, mobility, and repositioning
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and changes in condition
- Report resident needs and concerns promptly to nursing staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
- Follow all facility policies, care plans, and infection-control standards
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania CNA certification in good standing (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dependable attendance and strong commitment to resident-centered care
- Prior long-term care or IDD experience a plus
Credentialing Requirements
All candidates must complete Sthenos credentialing before start. Required items:
- Active Pennsylvania CNA certification, verified on the PA Nurse Aide Registry (PA CNAs are not state-licensed)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Government-issued photo ID / driver's license
- Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check (ePATCH)
- FBI fingerprint-based clearance (state facility requirement)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- Pre-employment physical exam (completed within 1 year of start date)
- TB screening (completed within 6 months of start date)
- Immunization records and flu vaccine (or signed declination)
- Three professional references (name, title, phone, email, and relationship)
- Pre-employment drug screen (Sthenos will schedule)
- Updated resume
