We are currently seeking an experienced nurse (LPN or RN) to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in long-term care preferred.
Full-time position; Day shift
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Director of Nursing with the following duties:
- Staff Management: Build work schedules, assign daily CNA duties, manage shift swaps or call-ins, and oversee break times.
- Quality Control & Rounds: Conduct frequent hall rounds to monitor care delivery, step in for hands-on assistance when needed, and track programs like hydration, restorative care, and weight monitoring.
- Documentation & Compliance: Check CNA charting for accuracy, verify state-mandated annual training hours are met, and ensure adherence to facility policies. [
- Training & Mentorship: Guide new hires through orientation, provide ongoing coaching, and handle performance documentation or disciplinary steps.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensure: An active LPN or RN license.
- Experience: Prior work history in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting, with proven leadership abilities.
- Skills: Strong organization, time management, basic computer/EHR literacy, and clear communication skills.
