We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in mechanical troubleshooting and industrial automation will be crucial to ensuring our production goals are met.
- Set up and reset machines, including installing support and pressure rolls, spindles, and motor pulleys.
- Maintain continuous operation of multiple machines, ensuring consistent part loading and unloading.
- Conduct thorough inspections using air, mechanical, and plug gauges, making necessary machine adjustments to maintain print tolerances.
- Change grinding wheels and adjust diamonds as needed to optimize grinding performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, completing all required documentation accurately.
- Perform first piece approvals, adhering to the established setup approval process.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify part dimensions and quality.
- Uphold ethics and safety programs, as well as all relevant export, import, and supply chain security policies.
- High School Education or GED.
- Proficiency in shop math and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings.
- Experience with machine setups for production runs.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial automation equipment.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and environmental compliance programs.
