Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a wide range of construction machinery to facilitate building projects, site development, and infrastructure improvements. Your expertise will ensure that operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards. Duties
- Operate various construction machinery including bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, and tanker trucks with precision and safety.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment such as Caterpillar machinery and other heavy construction tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to occupational safety regulations, and maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
- Assist in site preparation activities such as grading, excavation, material transportation, and site cleanup using appropriate machinery.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining compliance with construction plans and specifications.
- Operate specialized equipment like concrete mixers and cranes for specific project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and safety compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery on commercial or industrial sites.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving heavy trucks such as dump trucks, tanker trucks, or front loader trucks.
- Hands-on experience with crane operation and the use of various construction machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and water trucks.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and occupational safety standards.
- Construction site experience with an understanding of project workflows from excavation to finishing phases.
- Knowledge of operating farm machinery or similar equipment is a plus.
