Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote patient independence
- Support occupational therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans for clients with various needs, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with disabilities
- Provide occupational therapy interventions for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders, childhood developmental delays.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols related to physiology, anatomy, and occupational health standards
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes
Experience
- Experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities, and childhood developmental delays
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques for pediatric clients
- Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs, patient transport, and manual handling procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a positive attitude and strong communication skills
