Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods out of our facility. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that all shipments are processed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall success of our business operations.
Primary function include:
Prepare items for shipment, by processing packages, through computer system. Duties include some assembling, addressing and shipping merchandise or material, and arranging for the transportation of products.
Responsibilities
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as invoices or orders to verify accuracy
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes
- Prepare documents, such as shipping orders to route materials or merchandise
- Pack, seal, label, or affix shipping labels to prepare materials for shipping, using computer generate labels.
- Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
- Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
- Function as part of team to achieve company goals
Requirements
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Previous experience in preparing shipping labels using carrier websites is preferred.
- Previous experience in invoicing using Quickbooks is helpful.
- Familiarity with shipping processes, including order picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Computer skills, Quickbooks experience a plus
- Major shipping carrier software experience is a plus

Pay: $16.15 - $16.65 per hour
