Position Overview:
The AGM functions as the support for the General Manager. The ideal candidate would need to provide assistance with the responsibilities for all aspects of the operations of franchise hotel, including guest and employee satisfaction, front desk and housekeeping duties, financial performance, sales and revenue generation. We are looking for someone willing to eventually grow into a General Manager role. Previous Hotel Management experience with franchise chain is required with a strong background in Housekeeping preferred.
*Weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule are mandatory for this position.*
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists with the management of the day-to-day operations and assignments of the hotel, including front desk and housekeeping. Plan and organize work, communicate goals, and schedule/assign work.
- Comply with and advise staff of formal policies and procedures, identify options and resolve issues.
- Meets or exceed established goals. Maximize room revenues and achieve Revenue Growth and Revenue Per Available Room goals.
- Assists with controlling labor and expenses in all areas of operations, filling in on shifts when necessary. Cover any and all departments in the event of call-outs.
- Oversee the guest service function to ensure guest complaints are resolved appropriately and that service recovery gestures are made in order to ensure complete guest satisfaction. Achieve and maintain overall satisfaction scores as determined by the brand. Engage with guests to get honest feedback and provide service recovery as a means of problem resolution.
- Oversees multi-departmental payroll, monitor overtime, and seek efficiencies in scheduling.
- Ensures that brand standards are met in all areas of the hotel; establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel.
- Supports the General Manager with the development and implementation of programs that foster a positive work environment, e.g., new associate orientation, associate recognition programs, monthly associate meeting, harassment-free workplace training, etc.
- Driving and upkeep of hotel shuttle
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets.
- Perform other duties as assigned by ownership.
Pay: $62,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
