Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team and take on a variety of commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role involves hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control systems, equipment wiring, conduit, and service panels. You’ll work independently or lead a small crew depending on the project scope, with support from experienced project managers and in-house designers.
Responsibilities
- Install, cut, bend, thread, and route conduit systems (EMT, RMC, etc.)
- Pull and terminate low- and high-voltage wiring
- Install and commission control panels, service panels, motors, and electrical devices
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting on motors, controls, and distribution systems
- Interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
- Maintain and repair electrical infrastructure in commercial and industrial settings
- Ensure compliance with NEC and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and field crews to ensure job success
Requirements
- Valid California Journeyman Electrician License
- Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Proficient in conduit installation, panel work, and electrical distribution systems
- Strong understanding of NEC codes and OSHA job site safety practices
- Experience with control systems, motor circuits, and industrial equipment
- Skilled in electrical test tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, ammeters)
- Capable of reading and interpreting complex plans and schematics
- Comfortable working on lifts, ladders, and in various physical conditions
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented with excellent communication skills
Schedule
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- Overtime and weekend availability may be required depending on project needs
