Position: Lot Attendant
Department: Service
Reports to: Service Manager
Purpose: Responsible for assisting the service manager with supporting customers and employees with
tasks including scheduling, customer communication, loading equipment, and perform any
additional duties assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner all while
adhering to safety rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the service department
- Loading and unloading equipment (Driven and using a forklift)
- Schedule pick-up and deliveries with customers
- Call customers with repair estimates
- Stage equipment for delivery drivers.
- Help maintain a professional appearance of the grounds including equipment, parking
lot, and buildings.
- Demonstrate a constant commitment to customer service
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products and wiliness to
learn new systems and processes.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: Efficiently managing multiple customers and
tasks
- Work independently with little or no supervision, self-motivated
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
- Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment preferred.
- Experience with basic computer functions such as email, word and excel.
- Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
- Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree
preferred
- Valid drivers license required
