Position Overview
KAFFA, LLC is seeking a qualified ABA professional to serve in an on-call capacity. This position is ideal for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ABA Therapist or Behavior Specialist looking for flexible work while helping build staff capacity and improve services for students with special needs.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide guidance, training, and support to KAFFA staff who are preparing for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) examination and working with students who have behavioral, developmental, and learning challenges.
Hours are not guaranteed and will be based on organizational needs, staff training schedules, and program availability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled staff development and training sessions related to ABA principles and RBT exam preparation.
- Assist staff with understanding the RBT Task List and behavioral intervention strategies.
- Review and provide recommendations regarding curriculum, lesson plans, and behavioral supports for students with special needs.
- Provide consultation on classroom management, behavior reduction strategies, and skill acquisition programs.
- Support the development of behavior support plans and reinforcement systems when appropriate.
- Conduct direct ABA or behavioral support sessions with students as opportunities become available.
- Participate in occasional meetings with leadership regarding program development and service quality.
- Stay current on ABA best practices and industry standards.
QualificationsPreferred
- BCBA certification.
- Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA).
- Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
Minimum Requirements
- RBT certification or experience working under ABA supervision.
- Experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges.
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and behavioral intervention strategies.
- Ability to train, mentor, and support staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desired Experience
- Experience providing staff training and professional development.
- Experience supporting school-based, after-school, or community-based programs.
- Experience developing behavior intervention plans and collecting behavioral data.
- Familiarity with NYC educational and special education environments.
Schedule
- Flexible, on-call schedule.
- Evening and occasional weekend availability preferred.
- Sessions may be conducted virtually, in-person, or in a hybrid format.

Pay: $25.64 - $30.87 per hour
