Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will ensure adherence to food safety standard and maintain high standards of service and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen line, ensuring efficiency and consistency
- Assist in menu planning and development to enhance dining options
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment
- Ensure all food handling, storage, and preparation comply with safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Uphold high standards of food presentation and quality control
- Implement proper knife skills and cooking techniques for various dishes
Experience
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, catering, or restaurant cooking
- Strong background in culinary arts with fine dining experience preferred
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking, food handling, and meal assembly
- Experience with menu planning and food safety protocols
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and dietary department procedures is a plus
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
- Prior experience working in a team-oriented kitchen setting with attention to detail in food presentation
