The Mixer Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of ready-mix concrete to customer job sites while providing outstanding customer service. Drivers are responsible for operating and maintaining their assigned vehicle, performing daily inspections, and complying with all company safety policies and DOT regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to customer job sites.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required inspection reports.

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the assigned truck inside and out.

Safely load, transport, and discharge concrete while protecting product quality.

Report directly to the assigned job site after loading and return promptly to the plant after deliveries are completed unless otherwise directed.

Operate the truck in accordance with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.

Communicate professionally with dispatch, plant personnel, customers, and supervisors.

Promptly report delays caused by traffic, weather, equipment issues, or job site conditions.

Immediately report all accidents, incidents, injuries, or property damage to management.

Notify management of any maintenance concerns, mechanical issues, or scheduled service needs.

Assist with washing down the truck and cleaning the drum and chutes after deliveries.

Safely use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Valid Georgia Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.

Minimum of two (2) years of CDL driving experience preferred.

Manual transmission experience preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with all DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Must meet current DOT medical certification requirements.

Must maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.
-
Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
-
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and Saturdays as needed.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Sit for extended periods while safely operating a commercial vehicle.

Frequently climb into and out of the truck cab using steps and handholds.

Climb ladders to inspect and wash the mixer drum.

Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Frequently bend, twist, kneel, crouch, squat, reach, and balance.

Stand and walk for extended periods on uneven, muddy, wet, gravel, or concrete surfaces.

Operate truck controls, steering, pedals, and manual transmission (if applicable).

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, humidity, and dust.
This position is performed primarily outdoors and includes exposure to:
