As a host or hostess, you're the heartbeat of the front door. You set the tone for every guest who walks in, manage the flow of the restaurant, and help create an organized, energetic environment where both guests and teammates can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet every guest with a warm, genuine smile and welcoming attitude
- Manage the waitlist and seating chart efficiently
- Seat guests in a way that balances server sections and supports smooth operations
- Answer phones, assist with reservations, and provide accurate wait times
- Keep the lobby, entrance, and host stand clean, organized, and inviting
- Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and kitchen staff
- Assist with to-go orders and guest questions when needed
- Help create the upbeat, high-energy atmosphere Iron Horse is known for
