American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel experience with Epic EMR proficiency.

Work in a general Medical Surgical unit
-
Care for a mostly geriatric patient population with varying diagnoses
-
Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
-
Current certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Skills in feeding tube care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and IV therapy/phlebotomy required
-
Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required
-
Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
-
Provide direct patient care including respiratory support, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
-
Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed for emergency situations
-
Manage peripheral line care and IV starts and maintenance
-
Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
-
Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period

Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract

Full compliance required to start on time, as delays may result in a 2-week push back due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling

Previous Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
