We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of cranes on construction sites, ensuring that all lifting operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of mobile crane operation, and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals. Mostly will be doing taxi crane work in a 40 ton Manitex. Must have a Class B CDL or higher, and be NCCCO certified in large hydraulic cranes with at least 5 years of experience. We are based out of Waterloo, SC but most of our work is around Greenville, Simpsonville, Spartanburg, Greer, Duncan, sometimes Columbia. This is not a job for traveling crane operators. it doesn’t pay per diem every day, and isn’t 7-12’s shutdown work. It comes with a 40 hour a week guarantee and after 3 months either a company truck or vehicle allowance.
Duties
- Operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections of cranes to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate lifting operations effectively.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks during crane operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, including hours worked and loads lifted.
- Perform routine maintenance on cranes and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Skills
- Proficient in operating various types of cranes, including but not limited to boom trucks, hydraulic truck cranes, and rough terrain cranes.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with crane equipment.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members on construction sites.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in all operational activities.
