Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers about our products, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience. This role requires a strong understanding of retail sales, product knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. The Budtender will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, managing transactions accurately, and promoting our products through upselling and product demos.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections based on their needs and preferences
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Educate customers about product features, effects, and proper usage through product demos and detailed explanations
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and assisting with stock replenishment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person
- Supervise or assist in supervising other team members as needed, ensuring smooth store operations
- Follow all safety protocols and store policies to create a safe environment for staff and customers
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Experience with POS systems is highly desirable
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about various products
- Bilingual skills are preferred to serve a diverse clientele
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales best practices
